Swing Drive and Final Drive
The final drive and swing drive are two important components of the powertrain system in heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and other earth-moving equipment.
The final drive is responsible for transmitting the power from the hydraulic motor to the tracks, providing the necessary torque and speed to propel the machine, allowing the tracks to turn and move the machine forward or backward.
The swing drive, on the other hand, provides rotational power to the superstructure of the machine, allowing it to turn left or right. The swing drive is used extensively in excavators and other machines that require a 360-degree range of motion.
