906K Model (L66 Series) Full-Cycle Maintenance Guide: Key Nodes + Consumables List
As a highly work-condition-adaptable engineering equipment, the stable performance of the 906K model (L66 Series) relies on precise full-cycle maintenance. This guide focuses on three core maintenance nodes. It breaks down maintenance procedures and clarifies consumable specifications to help you efficiently manage maintenance schedules and extend the equipment's service life.
I.Initial 500 Hours: Critical Period for New Equipment Running-in, Thorough Basic Maintenance
The initial 500 hours of operation for new equipment is a critical node for the first comprehensive maintenance after running-in. The core focuses on oil change for the transmission system and sealing protection, laying a foundation for stable operation in the subsequent period.
-
Transfer Drive Maintenance: Replace with TDTO-grade oil, with a volume of 1.3L (0.34 gal). Note: The mark "*" indicates dry-fill volume, which must be filled in accordance with new equipment assembly standards.
-
Front & Rear Differential + Final Drive Oil Change: Fill 8L (2.11 gal) of oil per differential (Diff) and 0.8L (0.21 gal) per hub. It is necessary to ensure consistent oil volume in symmetric front and rear parts to avoid uneven load wear.
-
Plug/Sealing Ring Replacement: The transfer drive and front & rear differentials require 2 pcs of 6V-6228 O-rings + 2 pc of 152-6144 plug; each front and rear final drive is equipped with 1 set of sealing components of the same specification. After replacement, check the sealing performance to prevent oil leakage.
II. Every 500 Hours: Core Period for Routine Maintenance, Synchronous Renewal of Multiple Systems
Every 500 hours is a high-frequency operation and maintenance node for equipment, which needs to cover the lubrication, power, and filtration systems to comprehensively eliminate operational wear and maintain work-condition stability.
1. Lubrication System: Replace with 452-6006 basic application grease. Focus on sufficient filling of easily worn parts such as rotating joints and bearings to ensure no dead ends in lubrication coverage and reduce mechanical friction wear.
2. Power System: Dual Protection of Oil + Filter Element
-
Engine Oil Change: Use oil of specified specification with a filling volume of 11.2L (2.96 gal), matched with 377-6969 filter element. After replacement, start the equipment and run it at idle speed for 5 minutes to ensure full circulation of the oil.
-
Fuel Filtration: Replace 363-5819 main fuel filter element + 463-2166 feed pump filter. Double filter fuel impurities to avoid power reduction caused by fuel injector blockage.

III. Every 1000 Hours: Intensive Maintenance Period, Core Component Upgrade
The maintenance every 1000 hours adopts a "basic replication + core upgrade" mode. On the basis of repeating the core content of the initial maintenance, the protection of the air filtration system is strengthened.
-
Transmission System Re-inspection and Renewal: Completely repeat the oil change process for the transfer drive, front & rear differentials, and final drives as in the initial 500 hours. Replace plugs and sealing rings simultaneously. Focus on checking the wear of transmission components. If abnormal noise is found, disassemble and inspect in time.
-
Air Filtration System Upgrade: On the basis of normal maintenance of the main air filter (110-6326), replace the 110-6331 secondary air filter. Double filtration improves the cleanliness of intake air, which is especially suitable for dusty work conditions and reduces engine cylinder wear.
